Walsh, President of Onyx, was the former Executive Vice President of Mercury Air Group, Inc., a publicly traded Aviation Service company (AMEX: MAX). His 26 years with Mercury led to the creation of an industry recognized nucleus of highly effective managers empowered to sustain and expand his vision for customer loyalty, individual growth and the achievement of corporate goals/values. Mr. Walsh expanded the business from a small regional provider into the third largest national chain in the industry. Mr. Walsh created and negotiated all Service Contracts, including IATA, US Government award contracts, union proposed and implemented agreements, leases (both lessor and lessee) and insurance instruments, including those placed through Lloyds in London. He directly managed a full spectrum of third party airline service facilities, including aircraft maintenance, aviation fuel sales and fuel servicing, air cargo warehousing and handling, freight forwarding and aircraft loading/unloading for both domestic and International Air Carriers, as well as the provision of aviation related services to the US Government. Additionally, Mr. Walsh spear headed the "first" cruise line passenger screening services in the U.S. for Imperial Security, a subsidiary of Mercury Air Group, Inc.. In June 2007, Mr. Walsh was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Independent Fixed Base Operators Association (IFBOA). Based in Bedford, MA, the IFBOA is an advocacy organization dedicated to enhancing the profitability and marketability of aviation service companies and their airports throughout the nation. Kristine Peterson, Vice President & Project Specialist, for Onyx Aviation Consulting, has 18+ years background in the Management of General and Commercial Airline business and was the Controller of the third largest chain of FBOs in the Continental U.S. Ms. Peterson has an expert focus on Airport Management negotiations, business growth, operational and accounting analysis, business development and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Peterson has been with Onyx since 2002. Onyx Aviation Consulting, Kevin J. Walsh, President, is a partner and Co-Founder in Cargo Risk Solutions, a Cargo Security Screening Service company that provides security screening, consulting services, TSA accepted training, equipment procurement services and third party cargo services. Reese Carpenter, Cargo Risk Solutions, Partner and Co-Founder,is the principal of US Testing Equipment, Ltd., a security equipment manufacturers’ representative company with 15 years experience in equipment procurement, service and analysis. He has worked on Transportation and Specialty Projects including TSA Walk-Through Metal Detector national airport rollout, TSA X-Ray upgrade national airport rollout, ISPS Maritime compliant Screening training, California screening program and procedures and TSA compliant security plans for major cargo carriers. Mr. Carpenter was instrumental in the development of a screener’s eye test for use with dual- energy screening systems. Additionally, he was the Project Manager for IED recognition & handling course used for multiple government agencies and commercial industry groups.
